| Description | : | A large crust has formed on the surface of this left tympanic membrane during a previous severe bout of acute suppurative otitis media.
The crust has already separated from the posterior portion of the now normal tympanic membrane. Over time, tympanic membrane crusts will separate spontaneously from the tympanic membrane. |
